Instagram has just introduced a new feature: Nametag.
What is it? Our business card on Instagram.
Very similar to the way QR codes work, the Nametag is in effect a code that, when scanned, redirects users to the profile of the person/Instagram page in question, making the search and following action quicker.
Very simple to use: a user by framing the Nametag of another user with the camera (of the stories), can directly access his profile.
Nametags can also be customized: you can change the background with different colors, emojis, selfies and stickers.
Creation and customization takes just a few steps: select "Nametag" from the side menu (the three lines at the top right).
At the top center there will be a button that allows you to customize it. Some examples:
This new feature, which allows very fast access to profiles, can be communicated and sent through various channels, such as:
On the website:
on the contact page
in the blog
On the web:
in the email signature
in videos on Youtube
via Facebook post or Messenger
Offline:
with sticker on the windows
on the price tags
near the cash register
inside the shipping or takeaway box
As a marketing strategy , for example, "Scan the name tag, become our follower, just for you a special 10% discount".
