What is Connection Funnel and why do I use it?

The premise is that I studied and passed an exam to be able to apply this method ( here you can find my profile ) which today certifies the work of about seventy digital marketing professionals in Italy.


But not just professionals: people (who often lead agencies) who have demonstrated that they know how to obtain concrete results with digital marketing, presenting case studies and training with the aim of continuous improvement.


If you ask me (but I'm biased), here are the professionals I would entrust with my digital marketing.


This post is intended to be a summary of questions and answers useful for understanding what the Connection Funnel® is and why it could be right for you.



Why I apply a method

For many years I have mainly studied the tools and their application, also (mea culpa) letting myself be guided in the choice more by the available investments and the hype of the moment than by more considered intuitions.


This is why when I discovered the method created by Alessandro Sportelli and Manuel Faè I was struck by the premise that I fully support (and apply in the agency):

Before choosing the tools, a strategy based on the purchasing path for that market and for that specific customer must be studied

Calling it a method is not exactly correct, because it is not a magic formula .


It's more of a radical change of perspective : within a market of companies that ask us for quotes for the tools on a daily basis, it was difficult to ignore the generic requests for quotes and only welcome those who understand the value of:

  1. analyze the customer and his purchasing path before anything else

  2. act accordingly by starting from activities that generate liquidity and reinvesting after the first results

And what happened when we put strategy before tools? We started seeing many fewer quotes approved than in the past. Entrepreneurs don't like to think, they don't like to pay for theoretical consultancy.


But, because there is a BUT, those who approved the estimate for the Connection Funnel® study had results that were above expectations ( here you can find some case studies ).

The increase in results obtained in different sectors is double-digit when there is no shared strategy

Why this method?

I won't beat around the bush: for me (even if you haven't heard of it, but I suggest you google the names of the creators) it's the only one that really attests to who brings results with digital marketing.

The essence of a web marketing strategy studied in this way can be summarized in these key points:

  1. You have a work plan organized by priority that starts with the activities that are most likely to bring you liquidity in the short term

  2. Your strategy works regardless of the whirlwind evolution of the tools at your disposal (e.g. Tik Tok vs Facebook)

  3. It is complete because it is based on the study of conscious and latent demand in a joint manner.

  4. Keeps your business assets at the center of your strategy to cultivate relationships with your customers directly

  5. It involves the structuring of loyalty and repurchase activities that characterize your unique strategy compared to the competition

How to get started in practice

Except in specific cases (minimal budgets, but we believe in the project) or local businesses with very simple purchasing processes, we always start a digital project by studying the phases shown in the image above .


First of all we ask you for detailed information about your customers and if you don't have it we propose and carry out a small survey (usually sent online).


We then analyze the market ( also with this method ) and work with you to develop an ad hoc strategy.


Conclusions

In conclusion, I can say that this approach has improved the marketing of my agency first and foremost, and above all it has helped the entrepreneurs who hire us to adopt a strategic mindset.


Which always pays, especially in a market where everyone can help you with the tools of the moment, but few know how to tell you what to do to get results.
